Dhiren has been an active member of PASCO for over 22 years, serving over 15 years on the committee of which two were as President. He strongly believes in the importance of bringing the community together through cultural and social events. He is married to Smita and together they have two daughters, Shivani and Shree. Dhiren currently works as a Locum Pharmacist. He previously owned his own pharmacy business for over 20 years. He is a keen golfer and is passionate about following the Indian cricket team.

Smita has been on the PASCO committee since 2001 and served as General Secretary since 2003. She follows in her father Dr Ramesh Patel's footsteps, who was one of the founding members of PASCO and who served several terms as President. She has lived in Portsmouth since the of age 10 reading Political Science at Portsmouth University. She lived and worked in London for six years after her marriage to Dhiren, moving back to Portsmouth when they bought a pharmacy in Gosport. They have two daughters, Shivani and Shree.

Seema Chugh

Seema lives in Locks Heath near Fareham and is married to Naresh with whom she has two grown-up children. She is an independent mortgage broker by profession. Originally from Northern India, she moved to the UK 25 years ago. She loves listening to music, dancing, cooking, walking and being with family and friends.

Jatin Patel

Jatin Patel, originally from Kenya, lives in Southsea, where he and his wife Sushma own and manage a Post Office and convenience store. He has been a member of PASCO since 1997 and served on the committee for over 20 years. Helping the community is his passion, and he is generous with his time and energy, actively supporting various projects along with Sushma and their three sons.

Mala Patel

Mala moved from Kenya to London with her family as a 17-year-old in 1981, settling in Southsea in 1988, after her marriage to Dipak. She soon began to attend PASCO functions and enjoyed the sense of community they engendered, especially once their two children came along. She has a great passion for working with people and has been an active member of the committee for over 10 years, and also volunteers for other groups in the city, serving as secretary for the Chat over Chai group. Since 2021, she has also been working for Hampshire County Council as a Research Officer.

Nishal Patel

Nishal is a podiatrist and with her husband Devang runs a Skin and Foot Clinic in Southsea. She is also a mum to two teenage boys Jesal and Shyun, and cockapoo Kobe. She first became involved with PASCO in 2002 when she married and moved to Portsmouth from London. She has been a committee member for over five years and enjoys helping to organise cultural events.

Varun Kumar

Varun came to the UK in 2010 to pursue a Master's degree at Portsmouth University after which, having fallen in love with the city, he decided to make it his home. He also found his passion as a software engineer and now enjoys a career which challenges and inspires him. He has been happily married for the last nine years and he and his wife are kept busy, fulfilled and happy by their two children. He looks forward to serving the PASCO community and helping it to grow.

Josana Patel

Josana was born in Uganda and moved to the UK with her husband Jayanti in 1972. She has lived in Portsmouth since 1983 where she and Jayanti ran a hardware business. She has three children, Jayesh, Dhiren and Seema who have gone on to bless her with six grandchildren all of whom live in Portsmouth and are all Pasco members. When she's not helping the Pasco committee she enjoys cooking, gardening, watching sports, and listening to music. She became a committee member 18 months ago, a role which she really enjoys.

Subhash Patel

Originally from Nairobi, Subhash Patel moved to Portsmouth from London in 1981 having bought a newsagent business. He is married with two grown-up children and is now retired. He has been a member of PASCO since it first began and has been on the committee for the last five years.

Rama Murali

Rama Murali, an Engineering Manager at Airbus Defence and Space, UK has been a member of PASCO since 2022. Before moving to the UK, he was working in Indian Space Research Organisation at Bangalore, India. He is married to Anitha, a professional fine artist. They have a 6 year old son, Aarav.

Naresh Chugh

Naresh is an IT professional. He moved to UK in 1998 from Punjab and lives in Locks Heath, Fareham with his wife Seema. He has two grown up children and a lovely dog . Naresh joined PASCO in 2022 and has a passion to  help community. He loves travelling and likes to play badminton in his free time.
